Weddings

Congratulations on your engagement! Celebration of the Sacrament of Matrimony requires advanced planning and scheduling through St. Anthony of Padua Parish and through the Archdiocese of St. Louis. Parishioners, please contact the Parish Office at least six months in advance of the desired wedding date for rate information and to schedule meetings with your Priest. (Parishioners are considered those who have been current, active, members of the Parish for at least one year prior to requesting a wedding date.  We do not offer discounted rates for school alumni.)

Non-parishioners are also welcome to schedule their wedding at St Anthony’s. We ask that you invite a Priest or Deacon of your choice to prepare you and to officiate at your wedding; St. Anthony’s Parish priests are available for parishioners only. The non-parishioner rate is $1,500.00.

Please carefully review these detailed guidelines, and contact St. Anthony’s wedding coordinator Jean Tiemann at 314-795-7227 or staweddings@hotmail.com if you have any questions or to schedule a date. Note that weddings are not held at St. Anthony’s during the Church seasons of Lent, Advent, or Christmas.

RCIA

Christian Initiation of Adults

Christian Initiation of Adults is the process by which adults enter into Christian life through Baptism or are received into the Catholic Church, if already baptized, through a profession of faith. The process is an extensive one and requires a commitment from the participants. A sponsor from the parish accompanies the person on this journey of faith, which usually culminates at the Easter Vigil. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like more information on joining. For more information about the process in general, please visit the Christian Initiation of Adults website.

Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available 3:00pm Friday and Saturday in the Church.

Anointing of the sick

Please contact the Parish Office as soon as a parishioner is hospitalized or is seriously ill so that a priest may come to celebrate the sacrament. The sacrament is celebrated during Mass, in a communal setting once or twice during the year.
