Weddings

Congratulations on your engagement! Celebration of the Sacrament of Matrimony requires advanced planning and scheduling. St. Anthony of Padua Parish and the Archdiocese of St. Louis offer several methods of preparation based on the needs of each couple. Parishioners (current, active members of the parish for at least one year), please contact the Parish Office at least six months in advance of the desired wedding date so that arrangements can be made.

Non-parishioners are welcome to schedule their wedding at St Anthony’s. We ask that you invite a Priest or Deacon of your choice to prepare you and to officiate at your wedding. The non-parishioner rate is $1,500.00.

Click to see the guidelines for details, and contact St. Anthony’s wedding coordinator Jean Tiemann at 314-795-7227 or by email at staweddings@hotmail.com if you have any questions or require additional information. Please note that weddings are not held at St. Anthony’s during the Church seasons of Lent, Advent, or Christmas.

Baptisms

Baptisms

Parents are asked to participate in a Baptismal Preparation class. Please contact the Parish office prior to the birth of your child to register.

Eucharist

Eucharist

The Eucharist is the sum and summary of our faith. Consult the mass schedule for specific times this sacrament is offered.

RCIA

RCIA

RCIA, or the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, is the process by which adults enter into Christian life through Baptism or are received into the Catholic Church, if already baptized, through a profession of faith. The process is an extensive one and requires a commitment from the participants. A sponsor from the parish accompanies the person on this journey of faith, which usually culminates at the Easter Vigil. Please contact the Parish Office if you would like more information on joining. For more information about the RCIA process in general, please visit the RCIA website.

Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is available 3:00pm Friday and Saturday in the Church.

Anointing of the sick

Please contact the Parish Office as soon as a parishioner is hospitalized or is seriously ill so that a priest may come to celebrate the sacrament. The sacrament is celebrated during Mass, in a communal setting once or twice during the year.
