Altar Servers

Altar servers assist at Masses and special liturgical celebrations. Young men and woman from fourth grade and beyond are invited to volunteer for this important ministry. After training they will be scheduled with an experienced server who can assist them.

Children's Liturgy

Children's Liturgy of the Word

Volunteers help to make the scripture readings relevant to the lives and experiences of young children ages 3-8 by using scripture, songs and art. This takes place at the 10am Liturgy every Sunday.

Oversees programs designed for the health and growth of family life in the parish as well as Pro-Life activities.

High School Youth Group

High School Youth Group

Through this ministry we hope to invite all high school students of the Parish to participate in their faith through education, social activities, volunteer and service opportunities and prayer. The group meets on Sunday evening twice a month. They also travel to Washington, DC every January to participate in the Pro-Life March and to Springfield, Missouri to take part in the Summer Youth Rally sponsored by Franciscan University of Steubenville in July.

Hospitality Committee

Oversees the special community building events in the parish. They offer “coffee & donuts” hospitality the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month after the 7:30am & 10:00am Sunday Masses as well as sponsoring the Holy Thursday Pot Bless Dinner, Corpus Christi Reception and many other celebrations.

Oversees the various ministries which provide the parish with opportunities for good worship. The committee also coordinates decorating of the Church for Christmas, Easter and other seasons.

Men's Club

Open to all men of the parish 18 years of age and older. It provides a place for men to come together to share ideas, provide parish support and develop friendships.

Consists of men and women who enable the assembly to participate more deeply in worship through music. They sing regularly at the 10 AM Sunday Mass, Christmas, Easter and many other liturgical gatherings throughout the year.

An Order within the Catholic Church and Franciscan Family. They were founded in the 13th century by Francis of Assisi. They strive to live the gospel and pattern their life after Jesus Christ in the spirit of Francis and Clare of Assisi.

Plan yearly and seasonal social events including Lenten Meals, Trunk or Treat, Picnic in the Park, Trivia Nite and others.

Special Ministers of the Eucharist

These special ministers assist the priest to help distribute the Body and Blood of Christ at daily and weekend liturgies. Some ministers bring eucharist to the sick and homebound, thus helping them to feel united with the parish family.

Ushers

Ushers and Greeters

Ushers and greeters assist at Mass by helping participants to find a seat, assist the elderly or someone who is ill, by taking up the collection and greeting all who enter the church. Men, women, families and young adults are invited to volunteer for this important ministry.

Vacation Bible School

VBS is offered one week every summer during the month of June. Children ages 4-5th grade are invited to participate. Young adults 6th grade – college age volunteer along with adults to direct the program. The children learn an important daily life lesson, based on scripture, instruction-skits, songs, arts and crafts and games.
