Protecting God's Children
Thank you for volunteering at St. Anthony of Padua!
St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church follows the Archdiocese of St. Louis Safe Environment Program (Protecting God’s Children) in order to help protect the youth, elderly, and vulnerable adults of our parish as they participate in activities within our community and also to help protect those adults involved in our ministries against the possibility of false accusations.
In order to protect the safety of all children, the U. S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has mandated compliance with the Protecting God’s Children Program by all employees and volunteers. If you have any contact with children at St. Anthony of Padua Parish, whether it be through the PSR/religious education program or any organization, you must comply with this program. For more detailed information, visit the Archdiocesan website.
There are THREE requirements in order to be in compliance with the USCCB Protecting God’s Children Program:
Workshop
You must attend a workshop, either via Zoom or live in-person. Several times each month, workshops are presented through the Archdiocese at various Parishes as well as other locations. For a specific location, date and time, please register at Prevent and Protect St. Louis. Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill out paperwork, if attending a live in-person class.
Background Check
You will complete a background check when you register through Prevent and Protect St. Louis.
Code of Ethics
You will complete a Code of Ethics when you register through Prevent and Protect St. Louis.
